Rachel & Tim – Carleton, Michigan

On Saturday, July 24, 2010 I spent the day in Carleton, Michigan. I reveled in joy, as my dear friend Rachel married her best friend Tim. Rachel and I have been great friends, and have shared many fabulous college years together as sorority sisters. She and Tim are a great example of how two people undeniably love and cherish one another. So when they asked me to photograph their wedding I was beyond excited for the both of them. On the day of the wedding, Rachel arrived in her as usual trendy flair, dawning a pair of stunning designer shoes in no other than hot pink. Yes, she was the bell of the ball, and Tim’s eyes were locked onto hers. Her handmade bouquet enveloped each flower in pearls and crystals. Her fun and stylish bridesmaids offset her look with complimenting silver pumps with a black heal and pink insets. The groomsmen appeared very dapper in matching tuxedos with pops of color. This powerhouse couple’s style is unrivaled, and the attention to detail the entire day was unsurpassed. We enjoyed a privately rented garden space, brimming with a bounty of roses, lavenders, azaleas and petunias. The flowers made a beautiful and timeless backdrop to showcase the bride and groom. I am so glad Rachel and Tim invited me to document the beginning of this great journey for them, they complement each other perfectly, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness!
